J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. said Thursday that Brad Delco will be the freight and logistics company's new chief financial officer.

Shelley Simpson, president and chief executive officer, said Delco's background in finance and his history in the transportation industry fuel the company's financial strategy.

"Our entire organization is focused on operational excellence, cost discipline and scaling our investments," she said. "This change will align our leadership strengths to support our continued focus on driving results that deliver shareholder value."

Delco will take the position Sept. 1 and will also serve as executive vice president of finance.
