Looking for a fun evening of gospel music for a good cause?

On Aug. 31, Rev. Dee Calmett will host her 5th Sunday gospel music concert in Palm Springs featuring artists from throughout the Coachella Valley.

The Transdenominational Gospel Music Concert will take place at 6 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Palm Springs. The event is free but any donations made will benefit Fresh Expressions Kitchen, a feeding ministry that prepares more than 1,000 meals weekly for people experiencing food insecurity.

The performance will feature the musical talents of Prince Fleet Easton, Jonathan K. Merritt and Rich Cook. Also schedule to appear are Stephanie Dykes, John Hegna, Kiel Rey, Christian Quevedo, Jim Bullock, Dee Dee Hilgesen, Kathrine Campbell, the Desert Flagger
