CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were killed and two others wounded in two separate shootings in the East Garfield Park neighborhood Thursday night, Chicago police said.
The first shooting took place at about 10:09 p.m.in the 300-block of South Maplewood Avenue.
Police said two 38-year-old men were standing outside when a male suspect approached on foot, took out a gun and shot at them.
Both victims were transported to hospitals, where they were pronounced dead.
The second shooting took place at about 10:47 p.m. in the 3900-block of West Gladys Avenue.
Police said a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were outside when a male suspect took out a gun and fired in their direction.
