FBI agents raided former national security adviser John Bolton’s home in Bethesda, Maryland, on Friday morning, a source familiar with the matter tells NBC News.
The raid is part of a “national security investigation in search of classified records,” the source said.

The FBI told News4 agents were conducting “court-authorized activity” and there was no threat to public safety. They offered no further comment.
NBC News reached out to Bolton for comment.
An area along Bradley Boulevard was shut down early Friday and later reopened.
