The father of Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man in a parking lot.

According to Las Vegas police, they were called to the scene just before 6 p.m. They found a victim with several stab wounds; he was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. Quenton Marselles Brown, 57, was arrested nearby.

According to TMZ, Brown admitted dinging the victim's car with his door when he got out of his Lincoln Navigator. An argument ensued and Brown allegedly stabbed the victim in the back and stomach, the website reported.

Brown was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on attempted murder charges, police said.

The Celtics declined to comment Thursday night.
