In the heart of Siberia, in the small city of Taiga in the Kemerovo region of Russia, a group of children gathered in April for an Easter event that would change how they saw the holiday—and perhaps even their lives.

Hosted at Jesus Christ Church, the event was called “Search for True Easter” , and it welcomed 40 children, many of whom came from non-believing families. For most of them, Easter was simply a time for baking cakes and boiling eggs—fun traditions, but without deeper meaning.
