DAVID Lammy has been let off the hook for fishing with JD Vance without a rod licence, The Sun can reveal.

The Foreign Secretary avoided a hefty fine from the Environment Agency who have instead sent him a warning letter.

It could spark accusations of two-tier justice after the watchdog previously insisted they "always prosecute".

Mr Lammy was left red-faced after we revealed that he had taken the US Vice President on an illegal fishing trip.

The pair cast off at his Chevening estate earlier this month with their families but the Labour Minister had failed to buy a rod licence.

The debacle - during which he did not even catch a fish - saw him report himself to the Environment Agency who could have fined him up to £2,500.
