No deal yet for Bristol council's controversial harbourside flats plan

No deal has yet been reached between housing developers and Bristol City Council ’s housing company Goram Homes over the plan to build 166 flats on a prime site next to the city’s Floating Harbour. Bristol Live can reveal it remains unclear who will own the land which was the Baltic Wharf Caravan Park until last week , when the deal is finally done.

The council’s housing developer arm Goram Homes said it has received the land from the city council - it was owned by the city and managed as part of the harbour estate, but what happens to it next is still the subject of negotiation between Goram Homes and a developer called The Hill Group.
