SUTTONS BAY — Move over summer rom-coms, chick flicks, and feel-good movies. This summer, the hottest thing on the screen at The Bay Theatre in Suttons Bay might just be the crashes, rivalries, and adrenaline rushes of Formula 1 racing.
The nonprofit cinema has launched a new monthly programming feature, starting with last month’s Belgian Grand Prix, giving fans a chance to experience the high-speed drama on the big screen, complete with surround sound, coffee, and pastries. General Manager Graham Powers says the screenings are a perfect fit for the theatre’s goal of expanding beyond traditional movies to create more community-centered events.
