JACKSON COUTNY, Miss. (WJTV) - Authorities are searching for a suspect after one person was shot at Ingalls Shipbuilding on the Mississippi coast.

The Sun Herald reported the shooting occurred on August 22, 2025. Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter said authorities responded to Ingalls around 7:30 a.m.

There's no word on the condition of the victim. Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect.
