If you’re house-hunting in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), you may have noticed sellers aren’t getting quite what they’re asking for as homebuyers continue to hold the upper hand.

In July, underbidding on single-family homes in particular, which comprises detached, semis, rows, and townhouses, hit its highest point since February 2024, according to digital real estate platform Wahi.

While underbidding on condos was more prevalent, many buyers have recently been able to buy a single-family home for under asking, too
