After a streak of acquiring players from foreign clubs, Boston Legacy FC looked within the National Women’s Soccer League for their most recent transfer.
Who they found was 22-year-old midfielder/forward Bárbara Olivieri, who has spent the last three seasons with the Houston Dash.
In exchange for Olivieri, the Legacy gave up $100,000 in intra-league transfer funds, and an extra $65,000 in conditional money. The 22-year-old’s deal with the club is through the end of 2029, the longest term deal Boston has inked so far.
