The 2025 Nisei Week Grand Parade took place on Aug. 10 with crowds lining the streets of Little Tokyo.

The parade was preceded by a performance of Japanese pop songs by the Last Minute Band on First Street. Band members Mikey Hirano Culross and Miyuki Matsunaga then served as emcees.

The parade participants were:

LAPD Precision Motorcycle Drill Team, which is traditionally the first unit.

LAPD Deputy Chief German Hurtado

Boy Scout Color Guard carrying the U.S. and California flags and the colors of the 100th Infantry Battalion/442nd Regimental Combat Team.

Pioneer Spirit Award recipient David Miyoshi, Vietnam veteran and former attorney for Little Tokyo Community Council.
