It was late August in 2009, and two high school students, Danielle Hoffman and Bobby Maxwell, were gearing up for their first-ever shifts working at the Dutchess County Fair .

The two didn't realize these summer jobs were going to help shape the rest of their lives.

Hoffman was situated in the Middletown-based Bob Maxwell Walk-a-Ways Inc. Philly cheesesteak stand, while Bobby Maxwell was in the sausage and peppers stand right next door.
