Vikings looking to bring back franchise legend via trade with NFC foe

The Minnesota Vikings are heading into what they hope is a new era led by second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy. The Michigan product will enter the season somewhat shorthanded, though, as wide receiver Jordan Addison will serve a three-game suspension due to violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Behind Addison, the Vikings are thin at receiver, with third-round draft pick Tai Felton set to slot in as Addison's short-term replacement. Because of this, the Vikings are reportedly looking to bring back a franchise legend. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN , Minnesota has interest in acquiring Adam Thielen.
