Local and federal law enforcement officials responded to an emergency event at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on Friday morning.

While a "lockdown" was in place at the facility at some point Friday morning, shortly before 11 a.m. a hospital official indicated the situation had improved.

"The 'all-clear' has been given at Henry Ford Hospital and the lockdown has been lifted," said Dana Jay, a hospital spokesperson, in an email.

Jay referred further comment to the Detroit Police Department.

Representatives from the department did not immediately return voicemails seeking comment.
