BENTONVILLE -- Stephanie Cornell announced Thursday she will step down as executive director of the Walton Family Foundation at the end of this year.

Cornell said her decision stems from a desire to spend more time with her family at an important moment. She will continue serving in her position through December to ensure a smooth transition to the next executive director.

"I am deeply grateful to the Walton family for entrusting me with this role, and to our staff, partners and communities who turn bold ideas into lasting change," she said. "When I joined in 2023, I was drawn by the foundation's enduring commitment to creating access to opportunity and fostering collaboration."
