A former teacher and coach at a Connecticut high school was arrested Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a female student while at the school.
Jason Kymer, 38, of Beacon Falls , was charged with second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a child and tampering with a witness, the Shelton Police Department said in a news release.
The educator — referred to as a “former high school teacher” by police — is accused of being involved in a sexual relationship with a female student at the school. He previously worked as a physical education teacher and girls’ track coach at Shelton High School in Fairfield County
Earlier in June, the state’s child protection agency said it was working with police on an investigation into Kymer.
