ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester Police Department is investigating a theft involving a fraudulent purchase order at Acme Tools on Apache Lane Southwest.

According to the police, a man posing as a Rochester Public Works employee called the store on August 20, ordered two generators, and used an invalid purchase order number. He subsequently picked up the generators before the store realized the deception.

The police are actively working on the case to identify the suspect and recover the stolen items.
