Emergency crews responded around 7 a.m. to a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian at the intersection of Main Street and Highway 8 in the community about 70 kilometres north of London, police said. Article content

The pedestrian, a 77-year-old Huron East resident, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene, police said.
The intersection is not expected to reopen for several hours Friday while investigators remain on the scene, police said.
