The University of Tulsa opens its football season August 30 by hosting Abilene Christian at Chapman Stadium, and ACU sports 11 Oklahomans on its roster, plus head coach Keith Patterson, a former Tulsa defensive coordinator who grew up in Marlow and graduated from East Central University in Ada.

Among the Wildcats are cornerback Tyson Williams, of Bixby, who made 14 starts for ACU last season, and tailback Rovaughn Banks of Union, who is battling for a starting spot.
