A popular waterfront restaurant and six boats were engulfed in flames after a fast-moving fire ripped through a Long Island marina, fueled by Hurricane Erin.
The fire erupted around 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Crabby Amy’s Clam and Oyster Bar at the Treasure Island Marina in Seaford, quickly spreading to docked boats, destroying at least four of them, according to fire officials.
Dramatic video from the scene shows firefighters frantically trying to douse the flames on the restaurant’s deck while a fireboat hosed the enflamed boats from the water. 3

Officials believe it was sparked by surging tides from the offshore hurricane that pushed water into the electrical components of the building.
