The parents of seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro , who has been missing since August 14, were arrested on Friday (August 22) in Cabazon, California, on suspicion of murder. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of Jake and Rebecca Haro , though the infant has not yet been found.

Emmanuel was reported missing after his mother, Rebecca, claimed she was attacked and knocked unconscious outside a store in Yucaipa while changing the baby's diaper. When she regained consciousness, her son was gone. However, investigators found inconsistencies in her statements, leading to the arrest of both parents on murder charges under California Penal Code 187, which carries a minimum sentence of 25 years if convicted.
