Schenectady man arrested in August 11 shooting near Watt Street and Tremont Avenue
SCHENECTADY, NY — Police announced Friday that a 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month in the City of Schenectady, following a joint effort between local authorities and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Ryan J. Perry of Schenectady was taken into custody on August 22 by members of the Schenectady Police Department and the US Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force. The arrest stems from an August 11 shooting in the area of Watt Street and Tremont Avenue.
Perry now faces multiple felony charges, including: • Attempt to Commit a Crime/Murder in the Second Degree (Class B Felony) • Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree (Class B Felony) • Criminal Posse
