BLOOMINGTON — Indiana athletic director Scott Dolson shed light about how his department will allocate the funds it receives from a new long-term sponsorship agreement with Merchants Bank.

The university held a press conference at Henke Hall of Champions on Friday afternoon to discuss the agreement.

Indiana athletics will receive $50 million over 20 years as part of the deal that will see Memorial Stadium’s playing surface renamed Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium. The organization will also provide student-athletes comprehensive financial literacy training.

“This really makes a statement about IU football, ” Dolson said. “Merchants Bank wants to be associated with a winner." More: Indiana football generating record ticket revenue ahead of 2025 season-opener against ODU
