The Lehigh Valley housing market continues to buck national trends, setting a new median sales price record of $375,000 in July, according to data released by the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors .
Housing affordability calculators indicate the median household income now makes up 95% of what is necessary to qualify for a median-priced home under prevailing interest rates. The region’s housing supply is the least affordable it has been since records dating back to 2005.
Last year around this time, homebuyer incomes in the region comprised 105% of what was necessary to qualify for a median-priced home.
