The blaze was first reported around 11:15 a.m. in the 113000 block of Carmel Valley Road. According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD), the burning area was at 4 acres shortly before noon.

At this time, no evacuation orders have been made and no structures are threatened.
