One of Silicon Valley ’s fastest-growing startups will soon join the ranks of a handful of private companies valued at US$100 billion and it plans to take Canada along for the ride.

Databricks Inc., a San Francisco-based data and artificial intelligence company, on July 31 opened its Vancouver office, its second in Canada after Toronto, and hosted a launch party and networking event on Thursday to inaugurate the new office and to meet the city’s tech talent.
