MISSOULA — College football officials will be throwing the flag on players who are feigning injuries starting this year.
That's one of a dozen-plus rule changes implemented ahead of the 2025 season, which kicks off Saturday. Three Big Sky Conference teams will be in action, including UC Davis, whose head coach, Tim Plough, likes the change.
"The feigning injury thing is something we've dealt with for a long time because we are an uptempo team," he said at the Big Sky Football Kickoff. "We go pretty fast, and so there's been some games where it's been pretty obvious that teams have done that. There hasn't been anything I could do."
