Meijer customers looking for good deals will have to adjust their shopping habits starting in September.

The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based grocery and retail chain — which has more than 500 stores and express locations in the Midwest — is changing the start of its weekly sales from Monday to Wednesday.

"Moving the start of your weekly ad from the weekend will allow team members in our stores to focus on providing customer service on our busiest days," according to the company.

Currently, the first day of the company's weekly sales is Monday. Following the change, shoppers will be able to preview the weekly ad on Monday before it goes into effect two days later.

"The preview will be available on Meijer.com, in the Meijer app, and through email," according to the company.
