LOUISVILLE, Ky. — U.S. News and World Report released its rankings of top high schools. They looked at over 24,000 public high schools, and 225 from Kentucky made the list.

The website ranked schools based on core subjects such as reading, writing, math, science and social studies.

Below are the top five schools in the state and in our top metropolitan areas.
