Shenandoah University assistant coach Keyshawn Wilder has died, the school has announced .

Wilder was set to enter his second season as an assistant coach with the Hornets after starring at the school as a player. His final year playing at Shenandoah was in 2023, before he joined the coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season.

"Shenandoah Athletics mourns the passing of former Shenandoah Hornets student-athlete and assistant coach Keyshawn Wilder," the school posted on X .

No cause of death has been provided.

Shenandoah University, a Division III school, is set to open the 2025 football season on Sept. 6 against Methodist.
