NEW HAVEN, CT. (WFSB) - A contractor died after being electrocuted on Yale University’s golf course Thursday.
Yale police say that the contractor came into contact with an electrical wire that had been downed by a fallen tree during a storm.
The contractor was employed by Eastern Land Management.
They were identified as 54-year-old Luis Marcatoma.
“Yale offers its deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased,” said police in a statement.
The course is in the process of being restored and has not been open to players since 2023.
