BRAINERD — The Sweet Spot opened this summer in Downtown Brainerd.
The colorful location offers baked goods, ice cream, candy, toys, games and gifts and snacks in the space on Laurel Street next to its sister enterprise — The 218 Urban Nest, a clothing and accessories and home decor store.
Owners Nicki Traut and Kara Kristofferson said they looked at the space and after opening the Urban Nest, they wanted to add the candy and ice cream, noting it was a popular attraction at Fancy Pants Chocolates before the business relocated to West Washington Street in Brainerd.
They saw it as another attraction to bring people downtown.
