An explosion at an automotive supply company in southeast Louisiana forced nearby residents and an elementary school to evacuate.
The blaze at Smitty’s Supply in Roseland sent flames into the air and left a tower of thick black smoke billowing above rural communities on Friday.
Officials say no injuries have been reported, but ordered everyone within a mile radius of Roseland to evacuate.
The town is home to around 1,100 people.
Video from a nearby resident showed flames engulfing the automotive parts and lubricant supply company.
Its products include oils, brake fluid, power steering fluid and antifreeze.
