Last school year was tough for Coppell ISD, with packed board meetings and protests over closing an elementary school.

“Unfortunately, the district is going to have to undergo some of that same pain in that discussion as to, ‘should we close one, should we close two?’ And which of those campuses might it be?” said Doug Williams, Interim Superintendent, Coppell ISD.

The district’s longtime superintendent, Brad Hunt, retired recently and Williams has stepped in. He says Coppell faces enrollment issues.
