PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Our First Alert Weather Days for extreme heat continue through the weekend, with temperatures well above the average for this time of the year. We’re expecting high temperatures of 110°F or warmer through the weekend.
We tied a heat record Friday morning with an overnight low temperature of 89 degrees. With the humidity, it was a toasty start to the day after storms and dust rolled through parts of the Valley Thursday night.
Areas like Gold Canyon, Mesa and central Phoenix picked up over half an inch of rain. Wind gusts were around 60-70 mph across parts of the Valley, leaving some with damage and others without power .
