As Hurricane Erin continues to move northeast, wind speeds are waning Friday afternoon into the evening, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Wind speeds are expected to continue to slow down overnight throughout the entire state, with all locations cooling into temperatures in the mid- to upper-50s.
Along the coast, low temperatures are expected to be in the lower 60s.
The Boston , Worcester , Springfield and Pittsfield areas are all expected to be sunny on Saturday, with temperatures ranging from 82 to 86 degrees, according to the weather service’s seven-day forecast.
