The New Jersey State Park Service offers a Pet Friendly Camping Program at designated sites within select state parks and forests.

For an additional fee of $5 per night, campers can now bring up to two domestic dogs or cats to pet-friendly campsites per permit.

The program includes over a dozen state parks and forests across New Jersey, with specific campsite numbers designated as pet-friendly at each location.

Some of the participating parks include Allaire State Park, Bass River State Forest, Belleplain State Forest, Brendan T. Byrne State Forest and Wharton State Forest.
