A 46-year-old man died after being shot in the neck early Friday evening in the Bronx, police said.

Cops responding to a 911 call just before 6 p.m. found the man with a gunshot wound to his neck in front of a building on Washington Ave. near E. 164th St. in the South Bronx, according to police.

Medics rushed the victim in critical condition to Lincoln Hospital , where he died.

Police are investigating. So far there have been no arrests, police said.

The man’s identity is being withheld until his family has been notified of his death.
