After a historic previous two seasons, the Hancock women's soccer team fell on hard times last year.

The Bulldogs earned their first conference title of any kind in program history in 2022, netting a share of the Western State Conference North Division title. They beat Orange Coast College in a play-in game in the Southern California Regional for the first post-season win for a Hancock women's soccer squad.

Hancock won the WSC North championship outright, though the Bulldogs went out in the first round of the regional.

The Bulldogs did not qualify for the post-season last year.

Going into Hancock's season opener, at home against Santa Monica Tuesday at 4 p.m., things seem more settled for the Bulldogs, veteran coach Billy Vinnedge and two of his players said.
