The TinCaps lost their second striaght and for the third time in four games as Lake County rallied for a 5-3 win Friday at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio.

Fort Wayne (53-64, 22-30 second half) led 3-0 heading into the third inning when the Captains (68-50, 33-19) erupted for five runs, three coming a home run to right by Jeffrey Mercedes off TinCaps righty Isaiah Lowe. A throwing error by third baseman Zach Evans led to four unearned runs.

Lowe went four innings, giving up five runs (one earned) on eight hits with no walks and two strikeouts.

Reliver Bodi Rascon gave up three hits in three innings with a strikeout.

Jonathan Vastine had three hits and an RBI for Fort Wayne.
