EL DORADO COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - After a shooting the previous day in Cameron Park, Calif., 47-year-old Darin McFarlin was booked into the El Dorado County Jail and charged with two counts of homicide on Friday, Aug. 22, at 5:30 a.m., according to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
On Thursday, Aug. 21, at 9 p.m., the El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting inside a home in the 3000 block of Oakwood Road and found two people with gunshot wounds.
No one else was home.
The woman was pronounced deceased on scene, and the male juvenile was transported to a local hospital where he died.
The initial investigation identified McFarlin of Cameron Park as a person of interest.
