The Philadelphia Phillies are going to be in quite a tough spot in the offseason.
Slugger Kyle Schwarber is heading toward free agency, and he's in the midst of a career year. Schwarber is likely earning himself a contract worth over $100 million, but it's unclear whether the Phillies will be able to bring him back or if they'll be forced to sign his replacement.
MLB's Mark Feinsand recently listed the Phillies as a potential landing spot for New York Yankees slugger Cody Bellinger. Bellinger is able to opt out of his contract at the end of the season, and the consensus belief is that he will do so.
"Bellinger is in the second year of a three-year, $80 million contract, though most expect him to opt out of the final year and $25 million to test free agency this winter," Feinsand wrote
