A Pitt Meadows teacher accused of making and distributing child pornography was supposed to make his first court appearance on Thursday, Aug. 21, but the appearance was adjourned.

This means that Lovesh Ramsaha, 30, will next be in court on Thursday, Sept. 11, to fix a date for trial.

Charges were announced against Ramsaha on Tuesday, Aug. 5, including four counts: internet luring of a child under 18; making/publishing child pornography; importing/distributing child pornography; and making sexually explicit material available to a child under 18.

He was a teacher at Pitt Meadows Secondary.

The alleged Criminal Code offences took place at or near Pitt Meadows between Aug. 1, 2024, and Feb. 18, 2025.
