LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - One of the three men convicted in the disappearance and presumed murder of Crystal Rogers has been transferred to a different jail.
Nelson County Jailer Justin Hall confirmed on Aug. 22, Steven Lawson was moved from the Nelson County jail to the LaRue County jail due to an overflow of inmates in the facility’s maximum security area.
Lawson will stay in the LaRue County jail until he is assigned to a prison to begin his sentence, Hall confirmed.
A jury found Lawson guilty of conspiracy to murder and tampering with physical evidence. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
