WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A man is facing charges after a fatal crash in Luzerne County.

The Luzerne County Coroner says the passenger of a single-car crash, Adam Shaw, 26, of Plymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene on the Highland Park Boulevard exit for I-81 South around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, August 23.

The driver of the vehicle, Zackery Laiuvara, 30, of Nanticoke, was taken to the hospital for his injuries and was later released.

Wilkes-Barre Township Police shut down the Exit 168 Highland Park Boulevard/Wilkes-Barre ramps for I-81 North and South until around 8:30 a.m., while crews were on the scene.
