GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Town of Guilford and the local fire department issued a statement after Firefighter Michael Terrio passed away in a motor vehicle accident.

Michael Terrio, 32, of Killingworth, was killed on Friday night when his Suzuki motorcycle collided with a vehicle on the southbound side of Interstate 95 in Guilford.

“Firefighter Terrio was a dedicated public servant who committed himself to protecting the residents of Guilford,” said the town. “His loss is deeply felt by his fellow firefighters, colleagues across town departments, and the entire Guilford community.”
