Dear Editor:

Sadly, “good ol’ boy” (GOB) politics is alive and thriving here in north Georgia.

Typically it mantifests itself, before an election, when a newcomer-to-politics decides to run for an office. GOB evaluates this new competition and decides it could be a formatable oponent, whichs translates to could “mess up GOB’s den/nest/playground/swamp”!

Reaching the conclusion this is definitely a possibility, GOB takes the next step, which is commonly referred to as “Mud Slinging”. Yep, that’s right, let’s throw a ton of it out there and hope some of it sticks. To do this, GOB goes to their special interest support group( mutual admiration society, you support our special interests and we’ll support yours) .
