Geddes, N.Y. — About 60,000 people enjoyed the fifth day of the New York State Fair , officials said.

A total of 60,028 people entered the fairgrounds on a Sunday that included strong thunderstorms, according to fair spokesperson Katie Rey.

The entrance gates were closed from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. because of the storms.

Monday is the fair’s Law Enforcement Day. Fallen members of law enforcement will be honored at a ceremony at 11:15 a.m. in front of the Horticulture Building.

The day’s musical lineup includes Slippery When Wet at 1 p.m., The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus at 6 p.m. and 98 Degrees at 8 p.m.

The State Fair runs through Labor Day, Sept. 1.
